Default 86' turbo 350 wont shift into 3rd

I was going 55mph when my rpms shot up and my truck wld not go. i pulled over and checked my tranny fluid and it was fine. i ended up drivin home in 2nd. when i got home i realized my vaccum line to trans had gotten to hot and collapsed. i replaced the line thinkin that would make a difference but it didnt. i can only drive in 2nd. what do i do now?

make sure you have vacume "at the trans" then leave the hose off for a while 2 or so hours then check if trans fluid is leaking out of the vacume port on the trans, if so replace the vacume pot
