just bought this truck yesterday havn't had time to get a service manual. First chevy I have owned since 94. Its an 88 1 ton ext cab silverado with 20' wedge bed, old tow truck. Anyway I noticed the park brake light in dash flashing 8 short flashes. I had the gauge cluster out today to replace factory radio and dash lights. When I put it back to gether I had this code flashing. Any help would appriciated. I'm new to this forum and always had fords but don't hold that against me.

Try cleaning the mud off your ABS sensors on the hub bearing inside your front wheels. Just turn your wheels all the way to one side and follow where the wire goes in from the top of the upper control arm.
