Default 89 gmc

Hello, i am having some problems with my 89 GMC sierra. It will run and idle smooth for about 15 minutes. After that it will start stalling so bad it will die.I have changed the fuel filter.I'm not sure what this could be.A local mechanic ran it on his computer and for some reason on this k model truck it doesn't show any codes or something? He wants to change the ignition module and see if thats it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! I'm really parcial to this old truck and i would like to get her running right. Thank's

You can take your ignition module to major auto parts stores like Auto Zone or ORielly'sor Advance and have it tested for free. While you are there, ask them what other parts they can check for free. That's a lot better than throwing expensive parts at a problem when you don't really know what the problem is.

Is that a carb or TBI. I am going to assume TBI. Check your Throttle Postitioning Sensor.
