'91 rear differential leak at driveshaft side
Hey all...newbie here.
I tried related posts, but none were the same.
I have a leak from the rear differential of my '91 2wd. It appears to be coming from the front side where the driveshaft connects. I checked my Chilton's for seal R/R info but it only addressed gear replacement.
Can anybody tell me if there is a replacable seal at the input driveshaft end of the diff, if it is a DIYer project and the steps to do so, if possible.

RE: '91 rear differential leak at driveshaft side
You have to take the driveshaft down. Once you have it out you will see a big nut on the yoke. It is something between 1' and 1 1/4' if I remeber right. The easiest way to take that off is with an impact. If you don't have one you may need a cheater pipe. If you can get that off the yoke slides out and you just have to pop out the seal, and put the new one in.
