Default 92 chevy z71 - need more power

so, im about tired of the tbi 350. cant do much with it and too much crap on the engine blah blah. would it be possible to take an engine out of a 70s camaro or something similar and put it in? it has a 700r4 transmission. previous owner replaced the rear end but didnt give details of what the gears are, if that matters. anyway thanks in advance

Anything is possible. A 350 cid is that regardless of age. It sounds like you have issues with the tbi, and or smog stuff. If you go carburated, you are looking at mechanical issues with choke, throttle ect.

yeah, my tbi is running rich. no vacuum leaks, new sensors, egr is working correctly, intake is good. never had this problem with my 78.

would there be an easier swap? just looking for some opinions. reasons to, and why not to haha. anyway thanks again

forgot to add, its losing power from it running rich. but from what ive read, it cant really be built up like an older 350, because of the tbi setup
