I have a 95 Chevy C1500 Ext. cab 2WD with a 5.7 8cyl under the hood. This truck is very important to me as it was my Fathers. I recently was pulling a boat and I guess it was too much for the 160k mile transmission. I lost 3rd and 4th and can only drive in 2nd and 1st. I really want to turn the truck into some sort of show truck. In reality I'm just wondering if I can swap the 350 for a 454 that came in the Chevy 2500's. I am very new to engine swaps and am trying to figure out if the 454 would fit in the 1500's bay and if the heavier transmission will fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
