I just bought this truck last week had a leaking oil cooler line so I did the oil cooler delete by removing the check valve and plugging the holes truck ran great no leaks but now my pressure drops at cold its 60 then 40 and warm after driving it sits at 15-20 put it in gear and it drops to 5-10 and the check gauge light comes on in the spring I'm going to replace the oil pump and rod bearings just wanted to know if I was the only one

I have an '07 1500 5.3L (100K mi), but had a very similar thing happened to me. Just picked it up and on the way home and oil pressure goes from 40psi to 0. Lights/bells going off, fun!

Had the oil sending unit changed and all is well.
