Default 97' 1500 Lift!

Have a chance to purchase a 6" lift for my truck and wanted to know if its worth it? Im thinking of running 33's maybe 35's. Im also wondering what else I would need to do when I lift it, i've never lifted one of my vehicles and have very little experience with others. My buddies would help me out. I just want to know if its worth it, I think it is!

-Thanks

how much? is everything there as far as brackets, a-arms, hardware? will need longer shocks. 3"lift will fit 33's easy, tight squeeze for 35's. 6" tho would get ya 35's easy.

keep in mind your brake lines. the rubber hose from the hard line to the caliper may need to be extended. i think some kits include the extended lines. but you dont wanna get that lift on and then realize you need longer lines.

I think running 35"s is about the limit I'd go for a daily driver. Anything bigger and you'd spend more time at the pump than on the road

I agrre, and at the pump it cost enough as it is. having 35's and up are only going to make it worse.

Yes its a ProComp 6" lift with everything including brackets, a-arms, and hardware. My buddy isnt trying to make money off of it, and hes actually upgrading to a 8" lift. Im sure I'll need to get brake lines, im not sure if you can switch them off of his truck or if its included. I could fit 35's and I might end up doing them. I could also get a 2"-3" body lift to make it appear even higher. Im also not sure if he's giving me shocks or not as well, this would honestly be my first lift operation. The only thing thats holding me back right now is the fact that its a 4.3L, hence why I was thinking 33's. Gears might be something to think about upgrading. I wouldnt normally buy a lift, but it's such a great deal why not.

i lifted my 97 1500 with the 350. lift is definitely worth it, but if you're running the v6 i wouldn't get 35s. mine had a huge power loss with the 35s and with an automatic, mine was constantly shifting. very annoying, i got to the point where i stopped using cruise control completely. before lift i was getting 14-15 mpg city/highway mixed and after lift was getting 10-11. best i got after the lift was 14. before lift i got up to 19
