'97 Silverado 1500 Air Bag (SIR) Code ??

'97 Silverado 1500 Air Bag (SIR) Code ??
We have a 1997 Silverado 1500 Ext Cab X71 and it has an always on Air Bag light, went to a garage and the mechanic said that their air bag system scanner said it was a "B1071" code. Is this a valid code, and, if so, what does it indicate?
Not sure if the code didn't get transposed when written down, as the air bag codes I've been able to dig up start with (after a B) a zero. (LIke B0173, etc.)
