Default 97 Silverado A/C question

My A/C is not working and have discovered this much; compressor spinning, clutch not spinning. All A/C fuses including relay are good. Tried adding A/C Pro and got no pressure on low side when I attached the hose thinking the compressor wasn't working because it was low on freon. No power coming to compressor when I ohm the plug with A/C on full blast? What would you do next? No I don't have the proper A/C gauges for high and low! I have to work with what I have. I am thinking something tells the compressor to come on and that is the problem, but what is that?

Unplug the connector from the low pressure switch and jumper out the wires to see if the compressor starts to spin. If it does it should start to take the freon. Just beware, there is probably a leak in the system.

Excellent idea, I just need to look around unless you can tell me how I find that.
