Default 97 wiper adjusment?

Let me start by saying this is probably a dumb question and i just over looked something. So my windsheild wipers sit about 6 inches off of the bottom of the windsheild i want them to be flush with it like they are supposed to be, but i cant seem to find how you adjust them. the guy i got the truck from is notorious for not being good at setting wipers( he did my moms and they stick straight up and down). The truck is a 97 silverado if anyone can help it would be awsome.

run them so you know they're at the stop then just pop the arm off and realign it with the splines then run it again to check the range.

on my truck it doesnt have the little splines all the way around there is a part that sticks out so you cant strip it it looks like i have to adjust it through the linkage and thats ganna be way more work then the ones with the splines all the way around
thanks though

what did he have apart to change that? the motor/linkage shouldn't need touched unless the motor was removed and linkage got bumped and if thats the case you'll have to unhook it and set everything to the right angles and hook it back up.

i had to do it though the linkage i figured it out but where the wiper arm attach's the the posts it like a key fitting kinda so the wiper amr can only go on one way so you have to adjust it in the linkage
