97 Z71 ABS Question
My brakes where mushy after replaceing front pads and rear shoes.
After bleeding the pedal felt good then a few days later it goes to the floor. So I replaced the master cylinder. Problem remains.
I'm not loosing any fliud.
My question is; I understand the ABS module can trap air and may require special prodcedures to properly bleed. But if air is in the module would it not always cause a mushy pedal. In otherwords, being able to bleed the brakes and get a firm pedal mean you have bled all the air and a returning mushy pedal mean more air entered the system. In other other words ABS is part of the "system"
thanks
