Hey so I have a 1998 Chevy 1500 2wd truck and I need to replace the outside door handle on the driver side due to someone trying to break in. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was an easy way to replace it without having to take everything out (all the parts for the window) as I'm going to have to do it outside in the snow. Also if someone has any useful hints to make it any easier that would be appreciated.

I just did it New hinge pins , latch inside and outside handles .I went on youtube and put in (98 k1500 outside door handle replacement ) and there is a video not hard to do! tells you what tools and step by step
