Default 98 chevy oil pressure issue and fuel gauge

hello i just went and traded my 99 ford mustang for a 98 chevy 1500 with a 8in lift and 35tires 5.7L vortec. now my issue i was driving her home noticed the gas gauge was moving a little bit back and forth then when at idle it jumps all over the place and when it is off it sits at 3/4 tank and the oil pressure it will sit at about 40 when doing 55-60 then when i let off it will jump all the way past the last mark n back to 30-40 area but i dont feel any werid stuff from the truck. it might have a bad oil pan gasket. i am new to theise trucks and dont know very much about them so all help is apreishated thank you very much
