Thumbs down 98 Silverado 5.7 shoots oil

About a month after I had the oil changed, the truck started shooting oil when it's started. I took the filter off and cleaned the threads and surrounding area to make sure they was no old gasket there. Put a new filter on it, put oil back in it, started it again and everything is covered in oil again. The whole length of the filter is coated all the way around, plus most of the bottom side of the cooler lines, etc. Also, the gauge is reading about 80 in the 3 seconds I have it running, and I shut it down right away.

I can't even tell where exactly the oil is coming from. What is going on??? Any help is appreciated!

Let it run and find the leak.

Make sure you are using the correct oil filter.

I have checked the filter through O'Reily's and have had a guy from the last place I had a full oil and lube done double check it. All points to having the correct filter.

I have let it run. There is oil on everything underneath the oil filter and you can't see the leak from the top of the motor.... if I leave the truck running and get underneath it, you still can't see where the oil is coming from.

If it was as easy as that, I wouldn't have needed to ask....

Does it have the oil cooler lines that go to the radiator?
