Default 98 Silverado

My truck has over 200,000 miles. I'm finishing up installing the 2nd replacement 305, and a transmission. (long boring story involving kids driving my vehicles) I bought a 99 Yukon to strip for parts, and plan to take its suspension off as a unit and bolt onto my truck. My truck is a 1500, with 4 leaf springs. When I was taking the rear bumper from the Yukon yesterday, I noticed it has 5 leaf springs, and one of the shocks is mounted forward of the rear axle, the other to the rear. If I put that in my truck, will it be a 3/4 ton?

I also plan to put the rear-view mirror with compass and temp functions in my truck when I replace the headliner. Anybody have tips or advice for that? I know the wire goes down the driver side a-post.

Doubt it. The criss cross shock is old school, but does work much better than both on the rear. Those leaf springs are not as stiff as a 4 leaf spring, both equal the same load, again, my opinion, this makes for a better ride.
