Default 98 silverado Bogging under acceration

hi first post here i have a 1998 Chevy silverado with 5.7 L trying to chase a problem down. When i accelerate it bogs down but if i floor it it cuts out and bogs down and will catch up to it self at some point. i have done a complete tuneup had a misfire code number 2 cyl looked at spark plug looked good idles good and if i drive normal its fine i just cant floor it. any suggestions would be great.. i was thinking it might be injectors because that's a issue with these

Thanks for any input ..

How many miles on it?could be fuel pump, pressure regulator, spider assy or filter i would start by checking the fuel pressure should be 62-66psi

I would start with start with a fuel filter and check the fuel pressure the old spider assemblies do not tolerate low fuel pressure the new style isn't so picky, leave the tester on there for a while and see how many psi you loose over a certain amount of time (key on engine off)

Do you know what make fuel pump he put in? AC/DELCO,BOSCH etc

May also be your cat from the way you explained it if it's not all the way clogged and letting exhaust through a little bit it would be alright on lite to normal acceleration but if you floor it it will just bog down on you. I would take a look at that too
