99 Silverado: hesitates,stumbles,burps

99 Silverado: hesitates,stumbles,burps
99 Silverado LS 4X4 148,000 miles, auto, 4.8
When leaving for work,starts fine. Pull out on the road and it hesitates and seems to backfire or burp. I can leave my foot on the gas and it will run like this for maybe 300-400 feet. Then all of a sudden it levels out and runs fine. Also notice a pinging or rattle around 45-60 on level road.
I've changed plugs,wires and fuel filter. No codes.
I sure could use some help......
