Default Active Fuel Management

I have a 2008 Silverado 5.3L V-8. When the AFM is working from V-4 to V-8 you can feel a vibration, and seems to hesitate while shifting to V-8. Also it seems to shift way too often. What could cause this vibration, and is there any way to fix this? Should I be concerned about this issue?

Change the Oil and run 5-30 full synthetic of what ever flavor you like.

If this does not help,it may be time for new lifters.A lot depends on past maintenance history or lack there of.

AFM engines don't do well after years of 10K to 12K mile oil change intervals or more like a lot of people do these days....
