Default Adding Cruise V-6 Silverado

I have a 2006 Silverado with a V-6, Auto Trans. and I would like to add cruise control. Can I just change the turn signal multi switch and get the module, cable and brackets from a salvage yard. Is it a plug and play install or is there more work than that? I have read that all the wiring is there even if the option is not ordered from the factory. Are the aftermarket kits any good?
Thanks, Rod

Rod I had read somewhere in this forum all you need to do is get a fuse, relay and signal multi switch. I dont remember where but i'm sure if you search it will come up.... I dont know if this worked for the guy or not also.

V-6 models use a throttle cable and you need the module that mounts under the hood and has a cable connected to the throttle. I just need to know what else I need.
Thanks, Rod
