Adding a Sub to Bose System
I have a 2004 Silverado LS with the BOSE system. I wanting to add a sub and amp to this system. I have read that it is possilbe, and was wondering if anybody has done this or knows how to do it?

Thanks

you have to but a speaker to rca converter. wire it in with one of your back speakers and there is your rca connections. you really are going to need a stand alone crossover so dont get cheap on it or you will hurt the sub!!! Do not mix your bass and your mids!!!
if the system hasa factory amp, you may need to install the RCa convertor before the factory amp...i know with some vehicles, and a good enough amp (with a built in adjustable crossover), you do not need the RCA convertor...the way you will know, take a speaker wire from one of your rear speakers, and hook it up to your amp/sub...if it hits like it should, it will be fine...i have an expensive amp with a crossover filter, so i didnt bother installing a stand alone crossover...
