Hi all, my mode switch that directs air flow to floor,dash,defrost,etc.blows only in the defrost mode. Where exactly is the actuator for this switch?

Sorry bout that. Its a 2002 silverado 1500

 

Mode door actuator is on the left side of the hvac case near the gas pedal . It has a large cam on it and can be seen if you lay in the floor on the driver side.It can be replaced without the cam if you are very careful ,otherwise you will need to retime the cam to the door cam. Do you have automatic hvac or manual. If its auto ,have the programmer checked for update before you replace actuator and check connectors in the RH. side of the dash behind the side panel.
