Default any ideas???

I recently bought a 2007 Silverado LTZ. After going through and cleaning out my interior really good...I found these pieces in the glove box as shown below. Does anybody know what these are or where they go on the truck?

I have no idea what these pieces are or where they go on the truck. I even stopped by my GM Dealer and they couldn't tell me. Wow!

They cover the wires that are on the rearview mirror that has a compass, temp or OnStar factory installed.

The larger piece snaps to the thinner piece by the prongs on it. Then you put the wires into the thin sliding piece and gently snap onto the mirror mount. Then slide the movable thin piece towards the ceiling of the truck. If that does not work then put larger one on first and then slide the thinner piece on with prongs towards larger piece and then slide movable thin part towards ceiling
