hey guys i was wondering if you guys could help me out. I have a 79 chevy k10, and i was wondering if you all could maybe tell me what front axle i might have, or how to find out.

Should be some markings on the axle. Probably a DANA 44 (10-Bolt) or GM 10-bolt.

Unless it has been swapped. Take a picture.

thanks man i figured it out its a gm 10 bolt like you said. id love to know what gear it has but there arent any markings and i dont want to pull the cover off to find out. as far as i know thats the only way to find out. So i guess im stuck lmao

Hopefully the ratio in the front is the same as in the rear.
