Exclamation back lights are out nothing works.

Hello everyone I have a issue maybe someone can direct me in the right way. I have a 1997 Chevrolet Truck C2500 3/4 ton Sub 2WD 7.4L SFI 8cyl. Im having issues with my back light where nothing is turning on. Ive already checked the lights, the fuses, flasher fuse, and everything is checking ok and I have no idea what else I can check to fix the issue. Can someone please direct me in the right direction so I can fix my vehicle.

I would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to the forum,
Have you checked for power to the lamp sockets?
You might want to look at the shift lever switch that tells the reverse lamps to come on

Use a meter to check and see if voltage is getting back to the bulb when it is supposed to. The problem could be many things. Loose wires, loose sockets, corrosion in the sockets, etc.

There is a two piece connection underneath the box just ahead of the rear bumper,it is used for a connection of lights for towing a trailer. It might just be loose, dirt in it,or vibrated loose.
I towed a boat trailer with my 98 and forgot to hook the connection back together after disconnection and as a result no back light at all.
