Hey guys how's it going, I have a 88 c1500 5.0 with a bad oil pressure sending unit. Ever since the unit went bad I've been hearing a loud rattle at mid to high RPM's only while driving. My oil is full. It will not happen while I'm in nuetral (it's a 5 speed). I'm just curious if anybody has ever heard anything like that? I'm going to replace it today an we'll see if it continues. I'd appreciate the input. Thanks

 

You better quit drivin' this guy and get it to a mechanic before you eat an engine.

I am a mechanic lol before I did some diag I wanted some in put, my oil is full an sending unit was replaced. I'm removing the engine. Spun a rod bearing. Thanks tho Allen..
