I have a 2004 extended Cab Chevy Silverado with the z71 package. It only has 47000 and the speedometer has went out! Chevy said they have alot of problems with this, and that it would be a flat rate of $500...

anyone else have problems?

 

Mine is in the shop right now for the same problem. The speedometer wouldn't drop lower than 50mph...even in when in park.

 

what mileage did it stop at? Ours stopped at 46239K we're at 47399 now, and GM won't fix it. Said because we're second owners... what's that got to do with anything! It's a huge safety issue!
