Battery light came on and battery died within an hour. Replaced with new battery and it died at the end of first day. Does anyone have a clue as to what i should look at. By the way the battery light did not go off after battery was replaced

 

Try the alternator, sounds like it died. The battery light just indicates that the charging system is not working.
