you have sometype current draw.
may be the under hood lite or interior light,
only other way to check it out is to hook a volt meter to wire and batt.
then start pulling fuses until the current drops to 0.
newer trucks have so much electrical stuff on them you may have a small current draw all the time.
i have a older truck so i do not know about the newer ones.

i know there will be a spark when connecting the terminal to the battery. it pops and the spark is comparable to an arc welder. the battery isnt dead it just takes longer to turn over the longer it sits. i charged the battery last week and worked fine since. it sat overnight and no problem it took a little effort to start yesterday morning though.
