Hi,

I have just purchased a Silverado 2500HD with an auxillary battery. The main battery had a broken positive terminal. I do not have wiring diagrams yet, otherwise they would probably show what I need to know.
Can the aux battery be removed and put in place of the main battery?
Are there any fuses that would need to be pulled so the aux terminals do not have power going to them for charging?

I know of no reason you shouldn't just swap them over, or put the good batt in the active side. You should tape or some how insulate the auxbatterypositive cable so it does not touch any metal surfaces, while there is no batt. installed in thethat spot. I had a 91 2500 with an aux batt and had to do the same thing with no adverse effects.
