Don't know if this helps, but my 04-2500 has 2 side by side, under the climate control. IF yours is the same, and the passenger side one works, I would say check the socket, make sure power and ground are both tight.

After using a power inverter, I lost power at both my rear and front auxillary power sockets. At the time, I assumed I had taken out the fuses but that was not the case. Something at the rear of the sockets themselves opened and prevented power from getting thru. I don't know it the sockets have built-in fuses, or if they just couldn't handle the load, but replacing the sockets fixed the problem.
