Default Bed sits crooked...

So on the drivers side the bed of my truck sits completely normal, lined up with the cab perfectly straight all the way back. On the passenger side it's different. At the front of the bed it sits between 3/4" higher and at the tailgate it's nearly 1". So it's higher on the drivers side and even more toward the rear of the truck. My cab sits fine, though. I've talked to a few people who tell me it's kind of a regular problem for the era, '88-'99 (mine is a '96), but nobody has ever told me what the problem actually is or how to fix it. I've looked under the truck and can't see anything so messed up, but I don't really know what I'm looking for anyway. Like I said, the cab and up sits fine so I wouldn't imagine that side of the frame got screwed up somehow. It's the single cab, 2wd c1500. Any ideas would help.

Also look for body shims between the frame and bed.
