Before i buy
Ok i am looking to buy a Old body style 99 pickup with 72,000. perfect body and perfect interior. The only problem is is it has a plow. Now don't get me wrong i like plows but i am concerned with the front end and transmission. it seems to be fine but i want to make sure. Any suggestions?
My 2 cents: A plow wears out the front end pretty fast, and the transmission. The ball joints, tire rod ends, pitman arm, ect will have alot of wear due to the weight of the plow and the constant "manuvering" when plowing. Transmissions don't "mind" the weight, but constant shifting from forward to reverse when plowing will due a number on it. And....if he salted with the truck, the bumper and bed might be months away from rust blisters. Good for a worktruck, not so much a daily driver.
