Default Best cam for my 350

I just got a whole 350 motor for free from my friend's dad and starting to build it up for my truck. my old motor is blowing smoke and making all kinds of noises so it's perfect timing. so far i have rebuilt the bottom end, got a holley 650 double pumper carb, edelbroc hi rise intake, vortec heads (906 casting) with comp cams rev kit, and headers but don't know which cam would be best. i'm kinda on a budget. i would like a little bit of choppy idle and the power range to be between 1500 and 6000 rpm. i can probably go up to .490 lift on the valves.

With a 650 on a small block, I'd go with the cam you have. To hav the Loop you want is going to be duration.

Use one like an RV cam.
You won't have the lope like a full race cam, but it would get better.

the motor in it right now has an rv cam, low end torque is nice but top end is terrible.
