Ok my name is Tony. My son and I are currently building an S-10. I need help in deciding which cam would be best suited for our motor. Heres the skinny on the motor. Its a 60 over chevy 350, 3970010 block. Its already put together. I just want to put a little more power in it before installing. It currently has 1.94/1.50, 76cc heads on it. I am leaning very much towards installing a set of vortec heads on it. I know stock vortec heads are already sprung up up a 480 lift, so Ive been told. Im looking for good low end torq and a decent midrange, Im assuming Ill be twisting her up to 5000-5500 rpm range. So what lift should I be looking for along with duration and all that good jazz? Should I get the vortec heads or jst run what I got? And then WHAT cam??? Thank you
