I have a 2006 Silverado with manual fan controls, settings 4 and 5 were out so I ordered a new blower motor resistor on Amazon, replace the part and then when I turned on the truck to test the fan it is not working at all...put the old one back in and now it's not working either. I checked the fuse under the hood and it's still good...I'm at a loss for what's wrong now. Any help?

 

Check the plug that goes into the resistor. They tend to get hot and at times it will not make a good connection.

 

There was a special coverage for this...document 10240a. It may be expired. Maybe customer service here can help.
