Default Blower motor trouble

Mid-summer I lost speed #2 on the a/c - heater blower motor. This morning I have only #5. I've got An '02 Silverado C1500 5.3L. Could this be the motor or possibly something else? Thanks.............Ed

Replace the blower motor resistor which should be right next to the fan under the dash on the passenger's side. Those parts are always quitting. By default, when they fail, all you have is high. I had the same problem, and I also had to replace the blower motor as well, but you can get those for around $40 at a salvage yard vs $120 after market.
