Brake system question
Hi
I have a 1997 Silverado 2wd extra cab. It a low mileage car. The sad story starts with my health taking a nosedive, and finding myself in a hard position, of no longer being able to work on my vehicles. My truck needed a starter replaced, and at a friend recommendation, I took it to the shop. Long story short, they replaced the starter just fine, and offered a "special" for an oil change, which I took. I later discovered one of his morons, put power steering fluid in my brake. System, trashing it. They packed up their tent and left town... zip, zoom, gone.
My question is can someone help confirm for me what I need to replace, repair in the whole system?
Thanks in advance.
Kenn

any part that has rubber seals.
the master cylinder, all calipers and wheel cylinders, flex hoses...not sure on the abs pump as I do not know how the isolation/dump valves are set up.
you got screwed...sorry to hear about that. one option is to try to get parts at a pick n pull...there are pickers who will remove and replace parts for you for a fee. got to their site and look for a link
another idea is to buy a parts truck.
it will be expensive to buy all new parts.

Well, just an update. I located a pair of guys who know their Chevy's and brakes. They went to work for me and now my Silverado has a full, new brake system, front to back. Set for a full detail on Thursday and then I'm back in the saddle!
