im afriad that if he wants a plug in bolt onkit he will have to check with a chevy truck dealer to see if there was a light option for his model year truck .

With the plastic skirt, you dremel out the 5x7 fog-lite indentations, then it's a matter of whether you want the 30$ lites available anywhere, or the more expensive ones you have to order for about 110$. Either way you need to make your own mounting brackets, and they're out of sight, anyway. I used L-brackets from an old bed frame for mine. If this skirt is gone, as you seem to be claiming, nothing could be easier, you make sure you're not drilling into anything like wires or frame rails on the other side of the bottom of the bumper, and you can direct-mount the lights right to the bumper, perhaps avoiding drilling altogether by using stock holes and fender-washers. Follow the directions on the package, the Haynes manual tells you how to mount the switch in the dash. Enjoy.

Actually, I was looking at J. C. Whitney's site yesterday, they have a bumper crop of light bars that clamp to the roof with no drilling required.
