Default Buying a 2008 Vortec Max need info please

Hi Guys,
I'm buying a 2008 Chevy Silverado Vortec Max with 140,000km. I need some info on the rear axle ratio that it has. The VIN is 1GCEK19YX8Z106204.

I could really use some help finding the rear axle ratio in this truck before I buy as I intend to do a lot of towing.

All the dealerships and Service centers are closed today as it is Canadian Thanksgiving.

Cheers
Russ

Just as the vin pulls up, could be either 4.10s or 3.73s. Need to look in the glovebox to know for sure. GT4 I believe is 3.73s and GT5 us 4.10s

The big sticker in the glove box with all the codes shows GT4. Does anyone know what max towing capacity for a 3.73 gear ratio is?

So I got a copy of the Car Proof report today on the truck, turns out it was in a collision in 2011 and had $18,000 worth of repairs done. Owner claims that only the extended cab door on drivers side was replaced along with a new running board. I call B.S on that, for $18,000 I think it would be right off for the insurance company. Not sure what to do now. Will be getting all the body shop paper work tomorrow. If the frame was bent in anyway I'm gonna pull the plug on the deal.

With 18k worth or work I'd walk away now. I don't buy a vehicle if it's been in any kind of wreck but that's just my personal choice in the matter. My dad has a 07 vmax with 4.10s and it'll tow anything he hooks up to. Is imagine with 3.73s it's not much a difference

So with the owners permission I went to the dealership body shop where the truck was repaired in 2011. His story checks out. Alot of body work and panels replaced, labour cost was about $9000 and same for parts. I've booked an inspection at a mechanic for Friday and will investigate it further. Does having an accident of this size on the vehicles record affect its resale value? Should I be getting a better price for the truck due to it having had this collision?
