Default can a 350 small block spin 40s?

Hi guys, I'm about to buy this 78 Chevy k10 with 11 inches of lift on 40" super swampers and i'm just curious if this 4.11 geared (8 lug) engine with a 750 elderbrock carb is able to spin these tires, i want my mud truck to have the *****, just curious..

Even at stock you should be able to spin 40s, although your mileage will be terrible. If your not satified with the power you can always re gear your axles.

A stock 78 350 may have in the neighborhood of 175 horsepower. And the fact that a 750 cfm carb on a stock motor is way too much so more than likely unless you add a line lock you are not going to get those 40's to spin. Again we need more info on the motor.

I am considering purchasing a 1985 k10 with a manual and a 350, what gas milage can I expect (no mods).
