Cant read codes

Cant read codes

My check engine light just recently turned on. I went down to auto zone for them to read the code and nothing would show up at all. Has anybody had this problem before?

Yea I guess that would have been good to include lol. It is an 04 Silverado, 5.3L, had about 35k on the original engine.

Need to check all the under hood fuses, the fuse for the BCM may be out...
Its also possible the parts store reader was not working

I had this issue on my Silverado and it was a fuse. Like stated above check all your fuses and try again

I checked all of the fuzes and they were good so I took it to a different auto parts store, turns out the first one wasn't working because they said it was the o2 sensore.
