Default CB Radio Mounting???

I have a 1998 Cevy 1500. I have just received a CB radio for my birthday from my wife. I was wondering where the best place to mount the cb would be without it looking dumb and where it would be the most functional without getting in the way. I know that most people mount them on the dash or under the dash or on the floor but i didn't know if anybody had any better suggestions or secrets. Thanks alot. Just signed on and so far I like the site alot.

Welcome to the forum, what are the dimensions of the unit?
If you have the over head console that may provide a location, under the seat at the transmission hump is a possibility...

I have also mounted them on the drivers right side floor/hump face up so you can see and access the *****, and basically reach down and grab the mic. can even be raised so its closer to flush with the seat/leg

something that i have seen that looks good is using two pieces of flat iron sandwiching a piece of pipe cut at an angle and mounted on the tranny hump in the center, it looks good , can be painted any color, and gives your truck a custom tough look
