Hey guys,

Just recently decided to keep my 05 Silverado instead of trading it in. So it needs a little work to be spruced up back to my standards. One fix im seeking is for the center console. It is cracked and damaged. I can't really tell how to take it out and replace. If the whole thing needs to come out or just the lid, or does the whole center seat come out? It's time for this ugliness to go away.

You could do a full center console conversion, unless you like the center seat, then get one out of a 07+ silverado that's black with the 3 cup holders on top of it. Fits right in there and looks better

 

@country_09 is there a DIY thread somewhere for the 07+ conversion? That would be cool. Having decided to keep this truck I am going to keep it another 10 years realistically.

 

So would something like this work? Even though the little comparability thing says no?

I'd try to find the one he put in this truck. Looks much better than the one you posted and had more functionality.
