are there markings or a specific tooth on the spline that lines up to something? i read on a chevelle website that says that but is it the same for my truck? 1992 chevy silverado 5.7. installing a new steering gear box and pitman arm. any advice would help thanks

 

inspect the pitman sector shaft on the new steering box. If its master splined you will see it on the shaft.

 

i havent gotten it yet, im just trying to research ahead. ive done pitman arms before but never on a brand new steering box
