I am not sure of this, but I have been told that the fuel filter is located inside the gas tank. While that sounds dumb to me, it would not surprise me if GM did this. I have a Nissan Sentra and its fuel filter is also inside the tank. Doh!

Fuel pump, sending unit, and fuel filter are one unit located inside the gas tank. At least it is on my 2004.

The fuel filter is supposed to be a lifetime item. No need to replace it unless you know for sure that it is bad.

Inside the tank, think they stopped the filters along the frame in 02 or 03. Can replace the whole thing if you feel it needs it
