The truck is both my daily driver and work truck. I pull trailers and haul heavy loads with it. The leaf springs are original and are sagging quite a bit. With the truck empty and no load on it, the springs barely have an arch to them. The back end sits lower than the front when empty. What I would like to do is install new leaf springs to raise the back end so it sits higher than the front when empty and level or close to level when loaded. I’m not interested in installing a lift kit, and since my springs are worn out, I’m not going to install lift block either. I’m leaving the front end at the height it’s at. What I’m looking for is opinions on which leaf springs to install and how much of a lift to give the back end. Maybe a 2 or 3 inch lift? What do you think of the “22-797hd leaf spring”? If you type that into Google, you’ll see it’s an 8 leaf spring. How about the “Tuff Country 19390”? Is installing new leaf springs the best option for my situation? Any suggestions you may have would be much appreciated. Thanks

how much weight are you going to haul and how often?22-797hd springs i used to sell at a spring shop were for wreckers and so on they would beat you up pretty bad when empty with no weight on it ! i think the regular 22-797 was the regular 1 ton spring ,reg duty 3/4 used 22-795 .

Hmm... I would see if there is a spring shop in your area that can set you up. I thought I was gonna have to replace my whole driver side spring assembly, but I got it rearched and reinforced and now it rides perfect and sits level.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the payload capacity of a stock 3/4 ton spring... Could probably save some $ too

I decided new springs were a good options for me because the quotes I received for re-arching the springs were more than new spring assembles.

$150. I dropped off the truck and 2hrs later they were done. Were you talking to actual SPRING shops, or shops that just so happened to do springs as well?

They were quoting me from $150 - $200 for each side. That’s why I figured I’ll buy new ones because they sell for $150 each.
