Default chips

Looking for some info, have a 2004 2500hd with a 6.0. Am thinkng of putting a chip in, they advertise 3-6 more MPG and 50 HP more. Do they really make much of a difference? Pull a 5th wheel camper and could use some extra MPGs. Thanks

I have heard that most chips out there do not do much of anything. I have read on another forum that a Black Bear custom tune is the best mod they have ever done. Far better than any off the shelf programmer. I have no personal experience with it though.

X2 for waht MDTAHOE said. I'm getting a Blackbear soon. But for the money, a blackbear tune seems worth it, costs less then many programmers.
