Default Climate Control Issue

I have a 2006 Silverado that will start blowing hot air on the drivers side while the passenger side blows cold air. I was told to replace the vent door actuator, which I did, but I am still having the same problem. Has anyone encountered this problem? If so, does anyone know what the fix is?

Hi jfoxwell,

Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

While you're waiting for an answer, why don't you try a thread search under "A/C","climate control", and "heater"?

Although I don't have an anwser for you, this happened to me yesterday for the first time. I did figure out that if i shut off the truck by completely turning off the key it reset itself and worked properly. I don't know how long this will last though.
