Hey guys I recently Noticed my Truck had absolutely no *****.. then all the sudden it got really bad recently. (barley spin the tire in 1st on dirt/gravel)
The truck is a 1995 C3500 with the 454 TBI. Non dully. Yesterday I changed the Plugs/ tested the Compression on the cylinders. all plugs looked about even and the Compression was Straight across the board No Spiking numbers. So today IT started Pretty rough. Like it fired then Barley Registered on the RMP's for 2 sec then Caught itself and went to about 600RPM's The Idle is inconsistent Kinda wants to Die but then catches itself. When i step on the Gas the Engine is ok for a half a second then bogs then ok then bags repeated. Absolutely no power IF its flored . I got on the Interstate slightly up hill With the Thing pinned and it barley climbed to 70MPH check engine has been off and on. Did the PAper clip routine to pull the codes and got 12,13,54. from what i can find 13 is

13 oxygen sensor circuit open
and 54 is
54 egr system failure or fuel pump circuit low voltage

So im guessing it must be a fuel problem and not in the spark.
Before i take it to the shop I was wondering if there was anythign you guys recomend. I Am not very mechanical But Can check some things.. Maybe give me some ideas (but act like your talking to a 15 year old.)

 

I reset the PCM and the Codes have dissapeared For now. I'm going to drive around a bit tomorrow and see if they pop back up. IT does bog.. or hesitate For a little When i press the gas. But seams like it has more power.
